Been here a few times, my go to place whenever I’m in Lewes. This visit was for lunch. We had to wait 5 - 10 mins for a table as we didn’t book. The food was delicious and service friendly and efficient. There is a great variety of food to choose from including an extensive gluten free and vegan menu. I really like the shabby chic decor which brings a nice cosy feeling to the place. I would say that during busy times it’s very noisy so can be difficult to have a conversation if you’re in the middle of the restaurant, this doesn’t put me off and it shouldn’t you either!
We have been a few times now when in the area and we really enjoy the food. It is fresh and tasty. We always go for the tapas selection and I tried the tiramachoux which was outstanding. The service is always friendly too.
Went here for the 1st time, with a group for lunch. Booking on line was easy and asked choir card details due to size of group. Long table provided with plenty of space around it for movement. Order via QR code or at the bar was perfect for each of the group to order and pay for own food but did make delivery to the table was staggered but OK. Very wide food choice from burgers to tapas too poke bowls, pancakes and many more so suits all tastes, perhaps posing a question as to feeshness and reheating . Reasonable price. Would recommend.
Service was fast and food delicious. Got 3 small tapas plates which was perfect for my appetite. I particularly loved the veggie quesadillas. Also got a free soft drink with it (tapas Tuesday). The veggie options are great and diverse. The ambience in the evening is great although the music a bit loud. Great for a meal with a friend!
We had our post wedding meal here, there were 13 of us. The staff went out of their way to make everything special. We all had different dishes and it all arrived at the same time very tasty fresh food. There was one lady who we’d originally booked with and the main person looking after us ( I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name) she is fabulous friendly and definitely made us as newlyweds feel very special. The whole place is cosy and warm perfect for a winter event. We will come back again for sure. Thank you for everything the whole party were very happy.
This must be the fourth of the “Lounge” group restaurants I’ve been to round the UK. I’ve never been disappointed and Fuego is no exception. Had cocktails one evening, they were great. Then family breakfast a few mornings later. The quality of the food is always really good and dishes well cooked and presented. The fresh orange juice was amazing. You know what you’re going to get, and it always hits the mark.
